Danny Korem is an American investigative journalist, magician and author. He exposed the alleged psychic James Hydrick as a fraud in 1981.

Biography

In his early career Korem gained a reputation as a skilled magician. He developed an interest in the paranormal and has written about the tricks of psychics.

Additionally, he has published several notable books on profiling and lay psychology. He has developed the Korem profiling system, which allows for laypeople to develop the ability to develop personality profiles in spontaneous environments, without the need for a formal background in criminal justice or psychology.

He has also developed and refined the Random Actor behavioral profile, a profile which includes the majority of "Mass school shooters/bombers, suicide bombers, and postal/company killers." The ability to quickly identify potential criminals can be useful to police and law enforcement agents in averting and deterring violent crime.

He was publisher in 1981-1984 of Jon Racherbaumer books.
