Joseph Broome (fl. 1730s) was the most notable performer of magic in the first half of the eighteenth century in America.
He appeared in New York City in March and April of 1734 performing "Wonders of the World by Dexterity of Hand."
Broome's ads in the New York’s Weekly Journal on March 18, 1734 were possibly the first-known advertisement of a magician in America.
