  • 1907 - Charles Bertram (1853 - 1907), a British magician who performed for royalty, dies.
  • 1911 - Eric Williams, The Whimsical Wizard, is born in Leabury, England.
  • 1938 - Frederick Eugene Powell, who performed with Imro Fox and Servais LeRoy as part of the billing called the "Triple Alliance", dies.
  • 1957 - President of the IMPS (Sydney) and a founder of the IBM Ring 102 in Sydney, Stan Larkin dies
  • 1971 - Presto the Magic Clown Show, starring Bill Dopp, begins airing on a station in Louisville.
