Martin L. Sunshine (1897-1978) performed as "Kismet" around the world and as the feature performer at the Northernair Showboat in Wisconsin for over 30 years. His first full time job was with the Associated Press in New York, and also at a chemical research laboratory for a while before performing full time.
He began professionally in 1907, specializing in second sight.
During World War II, he was the first entertainer to travel to the South Pacific theater as part of the USO.
