Michel Huot is a Montreal-based close-up magician who, among other things, has performed several unusual (and noteworthy) acts at Fechter’s Finger Flicking Frolic, including a memorable appearance in 2007 with fellow Montrealer Yannick Lacroix as "The Human Deck of Cards."
- Dirty Pool (Murphy's Magic Supplies): Magician shows 15 cards, each with a different billiard ball printed on the face. A spectator is asked to "rack the balls," dealing the cards randomly onto the table in a triangle pattern. The magician and spectator then engage in an unusual game of pool, each taking shots and eliminating cards as they go, until only one card remains - for example, the 9 ball. The magician says he has a prediction in his card box. He picks it up from the table, then shakes it gently, whereupon (impossibly) a full-size billiard ball drops out. It is, of course, the 9-ball.
- Wind of Change (Murphy's Magic Supplies): A card is chosen, then replaced in the deck, but the magician is on a tight schedule and needs to start preparing for his next trick, so instead of trying to locate the selection, he introduces a miniature electric fan, tables it upright, and turns it on. The fan starts spinning while the magician is at work getting his next trick ready, but the audience stares transfixed as a series of comedic LED messages appears on the spinning blades, ultimately revealing the name of the chosen card.
