Acrobatic Matchbox is a close-up effect where a small matchbox, which placed on the back of the performer's hand, moves by itself and opens up.
Invented by G.W. Hunter and published as the "Magnetic Matchbox" in Will Goldston's "Further Exclusive Magical Secrets" (1927).
