Bluff Pass

Bluff Pass (aka Bluff Shift and Mock Pass) is a card sleight for controlling a playing card, that has been replaced back into the middle of the deck, to the second card (usually) from the top. The named was coined in 1928 by Frederick Montague.

Variations

Who can determine if Fechter's Bluff Pass in Magician Nitely (1974) or Fechter: The Magic of Eddie Fechter by Jerrt Mentzer (1993) is a Pass of the same kind of approach because I haven't these books.
