Pitchman

Pitchman is a person who sells novelties, jewelry, etc. from a stand on a city street or at a carnival.

Magic items often pitched are the Svengali Deck and the Wonder Mouse.

Many of the techniques used by pitchmen to gather a crowd have been used by Trade Show magicians.

Some magician pitchmen have been: Ali Bongo, Joe Stuthard, Ron MacMillan, Joe Nickell, Eddie Fields and Mac Macdonald (a one armed magic pitchman).
