Ramo was the stage name of Dr. Raymond V. Stone was a semi-professional magician and Director of Public Health Laboratories for the Los Angeles County Health Department.

The first full evening program he saw was that of Herrmann the Great in 1906. In 1909-11 appeared as "Ramo, the Boy Magician" complete with silk stockings and knee pants. Also worked occasionally in the act "Ramo & Rowena" appearing at carnivals, clubs, and churches.[1]

Stone had served during World War I in the Medical Corps.[2]
