Carl H. Guder (1890-1975), an electrician, and machinist, performed as The Comedy Magician and Gu Dere.[1]
Biography
Having his own little shop, he built practically all his effects.
At the age of ten years he became interested in magic, and branched out with the Rehan Medical show.
In 1916, with his brother Paul they presented in Vaudeville a comedy act entitled "The Magical Nut and Crazy Jew" until his brother's death on March 27th the same year.
In 1920s Guder wrote the CAPITOL CITY NOTES column in the Sphinx from Washington D.C.[2][3]
