Starting out as an act with his wife as  Carlton King and Dorothy, they  played the Rainbow Room and other posh nite clubs during the 1930s and 1940s.
King moved to the United States in 1930 and  joined the [[IBM]] in 1956 (member no. 16105).
During the 1950s and 1960s, he worked club-dates alone. He was active until 1969 when  a neurological problem denied him the use of his left hand.

Carlton King (1896-1977) was a professional magician who performed in the British music halls.

Biography

Starting out as an act with his wife as Carlton King and Dorothy, they played the Rainbow Room and other posh nite clubs during the 1930s and 1940s.

King moved to the United States in 1930 and joined the IBM in 1956 (member no. 16105).

During the 1950s and 1960s, he worked club-dates alone. He was active until 1969 when a neurological problem denied him the use of his left hand.

King died at the Actors' Fund Home in Englewood, New Jersey.[1]
