Jesse Lybarger (1870-1934), a sewing machine salesman, was the first magician to publish a Sponge Ball manipulation routine with hand-carved balls (in 1926).[1]
Biography
He became interested in magic after going to a circus in Ohio at the age of 12.
Lybarger was a member of the Executive Committee of the I.B.M.[2]
