Vanishing Elephant is a stage effect where a live elephant is made to disappear.
It was created by Charles Morritt (as the Disappearing Donkey), and first performed with an elephant (two-ton "Jennie", advertised as five tons) by Houdini in 1918, on stage at the Hippodrome in New York City.
It has also been performed by:

- Nicola (1931)
- Carmo (1933?)
- John Calvert (1952)
- Doug Henning (1976 TV special)
- Blackstone Jr.(1980)
- Siegfried & Roy (1981).
