DeWeird (b.1885-d.1952) was a Vaudeville and Lyceum performer in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania area featuring magic and handcuff escapes.[1]
Biography
Starting at 12 years appearing in club, church and society entertainments and by the age of 18 had branched out to Vaudeville.
DeWeird was very active in the magic societies in Pennsylvania as a member of the Brotherhood of Magicians Society of Professional Magicians of Philadelphia, and the Pittsburgh Association of Magicians.
In the May 1951 Linking Ring, the Pittsburgh Ring No. 13 reports him performing for their club. By March 1952, however, the club then reports in the Linking Ring that his two sons were there selling their late father's magical properties.
