Fred Morphet (b.1866-d.1904), together with his brother Harry Morphet (c.1851-1929), formed a partnership in 1880 presenting mysteries before local societies in Philadelphia as the Morphet Brothers.
Biography
His parents brought him to Rochester, New York, when he was two years old, finally settling in Philadelphia.
Morphet played the leading vaudeville houses and after a successful tour of the country, went back to Philadelphia to fill a long engagement at Kellar's Egyptian Hall, with the Mrs. Tom Thumb Co.
