Robert Henri Elroy (fl.1900-1920) was a magician and artist that performed shadowgraphy, smoke and sand pictures, caricature sketches, music, juggling, feats in paper folding and paper tearing, chapeaugraphy and ventriloquism around the early 1900s.[1]
Biography
It was reported in May 1905 issue of Mahatma that we was touring around Mexico City, Mexico. By 1910, he moved to New York and was touring with his wife.
He was co-owner of the Metropolitan Bureau of Magic with Clinton Burgess and presented The Great Dual Alliance. Their magic was divided into two parts. Card tricks which were done by Mr. Burgess, who was called "The Champion Card Conjuror of America" and handkerchief effects by Elroy.
He was an active member of the National Conjurers' Association, serving for a time as Vice-President.
