LeRoy McGinnis (1916-1968) was an attorney and a semi-professional stage and club show magician who performed as LeRoy The Mystic.[1]
Biography
He worked his way through law school as a magician.
McGinnis served on World War II (he received the Croix de Guerre) and was recalled during the Korean conflict where he served on the inspector general's staff. He retired in 1947 as a Lieutenant Colonel.
He also performed with his wife, Ruth, and three of his five daughters as "The Magic Macs". The family presented a complete Oriental routine billed as "Ah Fu Yu & Company."
He was a an early member of the Justo Hijo Magic Club of Des Moines and a member of the IMC.[2]
