Dave Madden (1931 - 2014) was a Canadian actor, was born in Sarnia, Ontario but was raised in Terre Haute, Indiana, was also a magician performed while in the Navy and a magic act in nite clubs.[1]
Biography
Madden first gained notice as a milk-drinking, confetti-throwing sad sack on Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In from 1968 to 1969. However, he became better known for his role as Reuben Kincaid, the harried band manager on The Partridge Family, which was broadcast from 1970 to 1974.
Madden also made guest appearances on other TV series such as Bewitched, Happy Days, The Love Boat, Fantasy Island and Alice.
He learned magic while laid up in the hospital as a kid, recovering from a bicycle accident after his aunt brought him the book "One Thousand and One Tricks You Can Do". Madden, served in the United States Air Force, Specials Services, and did a magic show before the King of Libya. He was also a member of the Magic Castle.
