Three cards are shown, two have red diamonds in the center and the other one with a blue diamond. The story is told of a gambler who showed you this game where you had to follow the blue diamond. You bet a dollar, you win a dollar. First the blue diamond vanishes completely and all three cards are shown to be red diamonds. Then the red diamonds vanish completely and all three are shown to be blue diamonds. Finally the gambler gives you a chance to double your money. The surprise ending comes when one of the cards is turned over and it has printed on it "You Owe Me $14.00"

Color Monte is one of the biggest selling packet tricks in magic based on the Three-Card Monte with a surprise ending created by Jim Temple and marketed by Emerson and West in 1974.
