Clarence T. Hubbard (1894-1973) was a writer and magician in the Hartford, Connecticut area.

Biography

Hubbard took up magic in 1895 as a hobby.[1] He was associated with the Aetna Life Assurance Co. in Hartford and was Assistant to the Vice President of that company.[2]

He was a member of the team of Ring and Hubbard (with Philip. N. Ring) providing entertainment for groups in and around Hartford, Conn. After Ring moved out of the area, he started doing lyceum and club work starting around 1912.

As a writer, some of his articles on magic appeared in the Scientific American, American Boy and other popular journals. He also contributed many routines to Sphinx (where he also wrote a column),Conjuring Record, Linking Ring and Edwards Monthly.

He died in his home in 1973 [3][4][5]
