Sydney Wrangel Clarke (1864 - July 12, 1940) was a British barrister (lawyer), noted magic historian and celebrated member of the Magic Circle.

Clarke join the Magic Circle in 1907 and succeeded Nevil Maskelyne in 1910 as editor of the Magic Circular (1909 - 1914) .

He wrote a comprehensive history of magic that was published as a serial in "The Magic Wand" magazine during the years 1924-1928, which eventually was release in book form as The Annals of Conjuring. Clarke also, for a period, produced the Magic Wand.

During the 1930s, Clarke contributed to magazines such as the Sphinx.

Clarke taught magic to his nephew Brigadier Dudley Wrangel Clarke, a British officer that was head of "A Force", the British deception planning & operations section in the Middle East and Mediterranean Theaters during World War II.
