Paul Carus, Ph.D. (1852 – 1919) was a German-American author, editor, a student of comparative religion, and professor of philosophy.
Carus was the first managing editor of the Open Court Publishing Company and wrote the introduction to Henry R. Evans book, The Old and the New Magic (1906).
