Donald Bevan was the editor of Abracadabra magazine, magic's only weekly magazine, for more than 20 years until his retirement in 2007. The weekly magazine started in 1946 and had not missed a single issue in all that time.
Manchester Circle Of Magicians awarded Donald Bevan the British Magical Award for Literature 2003 for the tremendous dedication that he has shown over many, many years in producing "Abracadabra."
He was also president of The British Magical Society in 1999/2000.
