Card Problems are challenges or proposed magic effects in which a solution is not provided. For example, Ed Marlo posed two problems and invited the reader to solve them in his book The Cardician (1953).

Problem was also synonymous with trick in the early to mid 1900s, particularly in the UK (e.g. Five Close-Up Problems).
