P. A. L. M. was the print journal of Pentz's Active League of Magicians (P-A-L-M), whose main purpose was to speak against exposure of magic secrets.

The periodical, edited by Collins Pentz, ran for two issues from May 1919 to June 1919.

The Organization, as advertised in the Eagle Magician May ,1919 stated "Names and addresses of all members will appear in "The Palm," its private publication, so that all members may correspond freely with each other. The actual value of new magic tricks and literature will be told. It will warn the members against worthless magic goods and books, and tell where to purchase everything needed by magicians."

The organizations oath included:

  • 1. I promise not to expose or to give, show, loan or sell any magic trick, illusion or secret to anyone I know to be an exposer.
  • 3. I promise not to contribute the secret of a magic trick or illusion to any public magazine that reaches people who are not magicians.
  • 5. I promise not to present, publicly, any trick or illusion in such manner that its secret will be exposed.
  • 7. I promise to leave out of my act any trickc that I cannot present without detection.
  • 9. I promise to notify The Palm of any member who is sick or in need.

Number 2, 4, 6, 8 and 10 and the governing principles were made known to members only.
