Biography
Peter Heinz Kersten was an Austrian magician and Vienna song interpret.
In 1938 Peter Heinz Kersten became a member of the Catholic boarding school Wiener Sängerknaben.
In 1944 he started to study dentistry which he finished with a state examination in 1954. One year later he opened a dental practice.
Parallel to his university college he studied music at the academy of Vienna. His last appearance at a Liederabend in Vienna was in November 2002.
In 1962 he was elected as the president of the Magische Klub Wien which he held until 1989. In 1973 he became FISM president. July 1976 he organized the 13th FISM International Congress – Vienna.
In October 1982 he took part of founding the Austrian parent organization of magicians, the MRA (Magischer Ring Austria). He was elected as the 1st MRA president, which he was until 1988.
Peter Heinz Kersten died 2004 of a stroke. He is buried in the Ottakringer Friedhof in Vienna.
