Whitey Roberts (1903-1999), billed as "The Magic Juggler", was a professional vaudeville performer.[1]

Biography

He took the name "Roberts" from his mother's maiden name and "Whitey" from the nick-name given him as a kid.

He won first prize on the pilot of the Gong Show and did other appearances on Johnny Carson and Redd Foxx shows.

Whitey was a member of S.A.M., I.B.M., and the Academy of Magical Arts where he was a frequent performer both on stage and in close-up at the Magic Castle. He was made an honorary member of SAM Assembly 22.

His son, Tyson Roberts, a Professor at Harvard University, was also interested in magic and attended the Chavez Course in magic with him.[2]
