Magigals was the first magic organization exclusively for women.

It was officially organized in January 1939. Geraldine Larsen was made President; Carolyn Trask, Vice-President; and Theresa Leon, Secretary.

The object of the club was to promote interest in magic among the women of Southern California. [1]

The charter members were:

  • Mrs. Fred Kapp
  • Mrs. A. Kosky
  • Mrs. William Larsen

  • Mrs. Earl Rybolt
  • Mrs. William Taylor
  • Mrs. Max Terhune
  • Mrs. Floyd Thayer
  • Mrs. Victor Trask
  • Mrs. Harry Pavey
  • Mrs. Harry Usher
  • Mrs. Sylvan Wolfe
  • Mrs. A. Jansen
  • Mrs. Howard Gerlach

It was followed by Assembly No. 2 in Seattle in 1944 and eventually attained international status with chapters around the world.

Geraldine Larsen did a Magigal page for Genii called "Paging the Ladies."
