George Kirkendall

George Kirkendall (April 14, 1932 - September 29, 2001), was an American manufacturer and machinist of fine magical apparatus, a notable magician/mentalist, storyteller and, later, a practitioner of "bizarre magick."


Biography

Born George W. Kirkendall, Jr. (aka George W. Kirkendall II) in Pottstown, PA. Graduated from the University of Akron in Akron, OH. Member of Triangle Lodge #748 F.&A.M, Scottish Rite, Aladdin Shrine and the usual magic organizations. Founded The Magic Hobby Club of Ohio (Columbus, OH) circa 1970.

In performance, known for his trademark red hair and handlebar mustache, theatrical voice, storytelling abilities and biting wit, as well as his dexterity with cards, coins, dice and other close-up items.

Kirkendall is perhaps best known for his reels
