Walter A. Baker (  ? - June 30, 1960) a vaudeville performer in the 1920s and later a manufacturer for Thayer.

Baker started a work correspondence course on magic that would be taken over by Harlen Tarbell, who was hired to just do the illustrations, to become the Tarbell Course in Magic.

He was credited with the "breaking Vase" gag and known for manufacturing his version of the Mutilated Parasol and Vanishing Bird Cage.

Baker was listed in Holden's Programmes of Famous Magicians and his fan pass is described on page 118 of Dai Vernon's Ultimate Secrets of Card Magic.
