Dr. Steven S. Tigner is Professor Emeritus of Philosophy at the University of Toledo. He teaches regularly in Boston University's Core Curriculum of the College of Liberal Arts and in the School of Education.

He was founding editor of the Journal of Magic History and Bulletin for Friends of Magic Historyand has lectured widely on magic and fraud in human culture as well as on numerous other topics in the liberal arts.

His non-magical research interests and publications lie mainly in ancient Greek philosophy and philology and in moral education.
