George Heller, raised in Richmond, Virginia and Washington, D.C., was a manufacturer and amateur magician.

He was one of the 24 organizers of the Society of American Magicians and was member number 23. While serving as first Vice-President of the Society from 1921 to 1923, he filled in as president during Houdini's long tours. He was the Treasurer of the Society from 1923 until his death. [1]
