Jess L. Springer was a part-time professional magician that did full evening, club and vaudeville shows.[1]

When 18 years, he joined the publicity staff of the John Robinson Circus. Later, he was with the Sun Brothers Circus and then with the Swain Theatrical Troupe for six years.

He retired from circus business and became interested in magic about 1916. He was the publicity director for the World Wide Magicians Society.

He became a member of the I. B. M. in 1926 and attended every convention.[2]
