Harrison B. Davies (c.1874-c.1928), a bookkeeper, was a part-time magician and escape artist in Detroit, Michigan.
Biography
Davies began working magic around 1891, learning some of his first tricks and sleights from Alexander Herrmann.
Known to Houdini, he was at the Temple Theater in Detroit the week of November 26, 1906, when Houdini first refused a handcuff challenge and then attempted but failed.[1]
The famous writer Edgar A. Guest published a poem entitled "To Howard Thurston and Harrison L. Davies" in The Detroit Free Press on May 18, 1926. It was reprinted, as a tribute to the "late" Harrison Davies, in the Linking Ring (September 1928).
