Tony "Toon" Anverdi (August 20, 1925 - January 31, 1995), originally a baker by trade, was a part-time amateur magic clown until he turned professional in 1950. He specialized in liquid and electronic magic.

Biography

He sold his apparatus mail order from his home in Leiden. Today, Anverdi's magical creations are very collectible among magic enthusiasts. Five years after Anverdi's passing, Dirk de Graefein purchased the rights, who then sold them to Wolfgang Wollet in March, 2005. Wolfgang Wollet sold the complete catalog rights to Murphy's Magic Supplies Inc. in September 2010. Murphy's Magic Supplies Inc. holds these rights to present day.

Anverdi performed at the 1961 FISM in Switzerland doing his clown act which employed highly original magic and lectured at the 1964 FISM in Barcelona.[1][2]
