The Bluff Pass (aka Bluff Shift and Mock Pass) is a card sleight for controlling a playing card, that has been replaced back into the middle of the deck, to the second card (usually) from the top. The named was coined in 1928 by Frederick Montague.

Tommy Tucker described the idea, including the dribble finesse, in his booklet What Next! (1936, p. 24).
