Jim Buffaloe (1929-2011) was a semi-pro basis magician and coin expert from the St. Louis area.

Biography

Buffaloe received his first magic set when he was 9 years old & grew up in Memphis, Tennessee, and graduated from Memphis Technical High School. He worked his way through college performing magic and music.

In 1949, he met J. B. Bobo. They became friends and Buffaloe submitted items for Modern Coin Magic.

He was shown on the cover of the June 1985 Linking Ring magazine.

Buffaloe earned a bachelor of music degree from Oklahoma Baptist University in Shawnee, Oklahoma, and a master of sacred music degree from The School of Sacred Music from Southern Baptist Theological Seminary in Louisville, Kentucky.

He has worked as the Choral Director, music composer and piano tuner-technician. Jim work as the Choral Director for the St. Louis Community chorus and also had six of his hymn anthems published.

He was a member of both the IBM and SAM.

Buffaloe passed away in 2011 after a brief illness.
