A bibliography of English conjuring, 1569-1876 by Raymond Toole Stott in 1976 is one of the best known bibliography of English-language conjuring books.

An updated Volume two was published as A bibliography of English conjuring, 1569-1876 (1978)

Toole Stott traveled extensively to view all the then-important collections of magic literature, both institutional and private, personally examining all the works to familiarized himself with each work's contents as well as its collation.

He provides a full bibliographical descriptions and records hundreds English-language books and pamphlets of greatest significance to the history of conjuring and includes the locations of all copies then known to him. Also contains a black & white photographs showing the some interesting title pages and illustrations.

The numbering system he used for the books are now known as Tool Scott numbers and are used by most magic book collectors when referring to specific books.[1]
