Al Zolo became interested in magic by the age of ten years and within a few years he began appearing in Club, Church, and Society entertainments in Philadelphia area.
He then started an act consisting of magic, juggling, and Smoke and Rag pictures. He advertised in various magic magazines as "The man with the 'SILENT ACT'".
