Atomic Deck is a forcing deck created by Dai Vernon, in the mid-1930s, in which the volunteer could shuffle yet still cut to one of them, but did not give it a name. It was first dubbed the "Brainwave Deck" by Francis Carlyle, but later retitled the "Atomic Deck" by Faucett Ross in 1953. Dai Vernon then used the name Brain Wave Deck for another routine in 1938.
