B. E. Hixson was an accomplished amateur in Kansas City, Missouri. He performed in 1905 at the Temple of Mystery at Electric Park, Kansas City.

One of the last mentions of him in magic magazines is an ad he placed in the September 1908 Sphinx selling his Coin Ladder.

In the January 1918 issue of "The American Artisan and Hardware Record", there is a notice that a "B. E. Hixson" was the owner of the Hixson Hardware Company in Hannibal, Missouri.
