Barry Price (January 5, 1944 - August 24 2008), born in Chicago, was a prominent performer for many years at the Magic Castle known for his close-up work with cards and coins.

At 14, Price got his first professional job, earning $15 to entertain at a private party. Price received a bachelor's degree in English composition from Arizona State University.

Price, studied with Ed Marlo in Chicago before moving to California. He was a member of The Magic Castle and served on its selection committee for new members.

Price lectured and performed worldwide and contributed routines to magazines including Genii and David Regal's book Close-Up and Personal. He also came up with a number of marketed effects, including one that created a picture of the Mona Lisa with a deck of cards.

Price died at West Anaheim Medical Center in Hollywood from complications of a stroke.[1]
