A scheduled series of lectures and related events catering to magicians and centered on magic, usually taking place over a period of one to three days.
Magischer Zirkel (Magic Circle) of Germany had it's first annual meeting in 1925, making it one of the first conventions of magicians. The International Brotherhood of Magicians (IBM) convened their convention in the United states the following year (1926) and the British Ring in held theirs 1931.
