Dominic "Dom" Cervas (1916-1993) was a regular attendee at magic conventions, especially, the annual F.F.F.F. Close-Up and the Columbus MAGI-FEST.

Biography

Cervas was an Army veteran of World War II and worked for 41 years as an estimator for the Boyd E. Hart Co. construction firm in Eastlake, Ohio.

Considered an expert of Faro Shuffle techniques, he was a member of IBM Ring 23 in Cleveland, Ohio and held I.B.M. number 18948.[1]

He was an expert worker in metal and turned his own coin boxes. He also collected brass magic, especially from Carl Brema.

Many of his routines were published in Bill Miesel's Precursor magazine.[2]

Cervas created "Hexaflexagon" with a story about stained glass windows, and a version of the Endless Chain.[3]
