Don Rataj is a magician & vintage magician photo & autograph collector.
Don is a close up card magician that started at age 10 when he got into the dealer room at the 1964 St. Louis magic convention Midwest Magic Jubilee at the St. Louis Chase Park Plaza.
He performed close up bar magic while behind the bar during college years in Kansas & later on with his clients of his St. Louis Architectural firm Rataj Architects.
He is a collector of vintage magic photographs, autographs Magic Tokens, & he the current historian of the St. Louis IBM Ring One. Don researched the IBM Ring One past presidents of which he is one (Past Ring One President in 1995) preparing historical data for the magic club archives as well as updating MagicPedia. He has also researched the history of the IBM Ring One Presidents & other famous St. Louis magicians. The book The Magic History of St. Louis Magic the last 85 years was published in Sept. 2011 & issued to members & past presidents.
