Ed Miller was performer, a pioneer collector, and a manufacturer.

He became interested in magic as a young boy and by the time he was sixteen he was working professionally. Early on he was associated with Harry Thurston and Prof. Blankenbaker in various traveling shows. He then perfomred in vaudeville through the 1920's.

In 1927, Miller moved to Chicago and set up a shop.

Before his death, Jay Marshall purchased his collection.[1]
