Flip Deck is a Mechanical Deck introduced by Percy Abbott being advertised as early as 1948.

Effect: A deck is displayed in which two holes have been punched through. A pencil is shown to pass freely through the hole. The deck is then thoroughly shuffled and fanned for selection of a card; which is returned to deck which is again thoroughly shuffled. The pencil is now pushed through the upper hole and slowly turned, and while the deck remains motionless, the selected card revolves up with the pencil.
