Fred G. Taylor was a playing card collector.

He graduated Columbia University and entered the field of radio broadcasting. Taylor held many jobs throughout Europe before embarking on a diplomatic career. Posted in Germany and Czechoslovakia during his tenure with the government, he turned his travels into a unique opportunity to collect playing cards.

He was awarded the IBM Order of Merlin Excalibur award for fifty years of continuous membership.

His playing card collection was auctioned off in 1997.
