Gathering for Gardner is a bi-annual event which started in 1992 where a group of friends and admirers of Martin Gardner meets in Atlanta Georgia.

The Gathering is by invitation only and includes some of the greatest thinkers in the areas of magic, puzzles, illusions, mathematics, origami and game theory.

The 2010 event, known as "G4G9" (as in “Gathering for Gardner,” and nine because it is the ninth such gathering) is organized by Atlanta businessman Thomas Rodgers.

Gardner, who is in his 90s and despises travel, rarely attends and has made it to only two of the events in his honor.
