Gene Finnell (May 23, 1929 - April 8, 2002) was a member and Past President of Ring 96 in Long Beach California.

He served in the U.S. Navy during the Korean War and retired from the Union Oil Company in 1984. His friend and best man was Leo Behnke, another member of Ring 96.

Finnell held a patent for a business card that displayed 12 different surfaces depending on how it was folded. He o worked as a computer consultant to Apple creating educational applications for the children.

He was known for his applications mathematical principles to magic and contributions to magazines including The Pallbearers Review.
